Homework after Session 2
Time: ~60 minutes in this session or before the next session (plus a video for the weekend). This one matters: the next session opens with a demo of whatever's live.
-
Run the loop, solo, once:
/context-restore → pick the top slice from the board → /spec it (five minutes, the slice, not the system) → /autoplan → build → /qa → /land-and-deploy → /canary green → move the slice to Done → /context-save
The Definition of Done is not decorative: an increment that skipped QA or whose canary wasn't green stays out of the Done column, even when it's 11pm and it probably works.
-
Keep the board honest. New ideas go to the backlog, not into this session's sprint. If the slice turns out too big, split it and ship the smaller half, that's a skill, not a defeat.
-
Save your prompt. Paste the best prompt you wrote in this session into a new file in your project called
prompts-that-worked.md. You're starting a personal library, future you will thank present you. -
Watch (weekend is fine): Learn 90% of Claude Code in 31 Minutes, Chase AI (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwkdDcO4vWQ). Note one technique he uses that we haven't covered, and bring it up.
-
Bring to Session 3: the board, and the live URL ready to demo, prepare nothing special; the site is the demo.
