Something not working, or not behaving how you expected? Most of it is answered below. If the answer is not there, use the form and you will get a reply from a person.
Ask about Wazzon‽
Say what you did and what happened instead. Whether you are on the iPhone app or the web app, and which browser, usually saves a round trip.
The list is empty
Almost always the filters. Open Settings (the gear in the top corner) and check three things: where home is, the radius, and which days count as free. A 10 mile radius from the Lizard on alternate Tuesdays will be quiet. Widen the radius, or switch the cadence to every week, and the list fills. Pull down on the list to fetch the latest listings if it has been a while.
Setting home
Type a town or a postcode in Settings, or tap "Use current location" and allow the one-time prompt. Home is only ever used on your phone to work out distances; see the privacy policy.
A listing is wrong, or a show is missing
Listings are gathered once a week from 17 venue and what's-on sites, and a show is only as right as the page it came from. Times marked "tbc" mean the listing gave none; assume evening and check. The notes on what a show is and what the reviews said are written by an AI from press coverage and can be wrong, so always check the venue page before travelling. A few venues cannot be read automatically (the Minack and The Cornish Bank among them) and smaller venues only list a few months ahead. If a show is plainly wrong, use the form above and say which one.
Adding a showing to my calendar, and removing it
On a show's page, tap the calendar button beside a showing and iOS opens its own event editor with the details filled in. Save it and it lands in whichever calendar you chose. To remove it, tap the same button again: the first time, iOS asks for calendar access so the app can find the event it made. Nothing else in your calendar is touched. "In my calendar" in the filter bar shows only the showings you have added.
The web app and the iPhone app
They read the same listings and apply the same free-day rule. The web app at idst.uk/wazzon/app runs in any browser and can be added to your home screen; the iPhone app is on its way to the App Store. Settings are kept separately in each, so set home and your free days in both if you use both.
Privacy
Your location and settings stay on your phone. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is and is not sent anywhere.
Still stuck
Use the form at the top of this page and say what you did and what happened instead. Include your iPhone model and iOS version, or your browser, if you can.
